Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. Selah
Psalm 4:4 (ESV)

There’s something to be said for ‘counting down before blasting off.’ Bring this passage to mind. Do not sin. Search your heart and be silent. Seek God and allow Him to guide you in how to deal with your emotions so that you respond in a godly manner, and not recklessly.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:30 (NIV)

“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
Matthew 16:25 (NAS)

Be hesitant to follow your own ambitions and agendas. Seek after those of the Lord’s. Whoever loses his life for the sake of God will find it. Find your life in what God has planned, not in what your human nature would try to orchestrate.
