Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:16 (ESV)

Even when it seems hard to, sing songs and hymns and praise God in the midst of everything going on.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 (ESV)

Note this passage doesn’t shy away from the fact that the heat and drought will come, however it focuses on the deeply planted roots by living water. Let us mimic this tree, and bear fruit because of our sustenance instead of wither away from our anxiety and fear.

And the people spoke against God and against Moses, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food.”
Numbers 21:5 (ESV)

Too often we get frustrated and impatient with God’s timing. It’s important that we learn from the stories in the bible where characters shared similar frustrations. We have a choice in if history repeats itself.

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29-31 (ESV)

Be encouraged if you are in the waiting process. As you wait, the Lord is renewing and increasing your strength.
