I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.
Set the Lord before you. Lean into the confidence that provides and let that drive your emotions, your physical well-being and an overall sense of peace.
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
If you spend your time focusing on how to give and serve, you’ll be less concerned about what you have or need.
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
Consider the root of your joy, or lack thereof. Consider making adjustments accordingly.
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
You are not bound by anything – stand firm in your freedom.
As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
1 Corinthians 12:20
You were designed uniquely, by God, to be exactly “you.” Be confident in your place and purpose, knowing that you are an essential part of the whole. Don’t worry about what you’re not – focus on being the best at who and what you are.
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Let us fervently pursue the kingdom of heaven and steward well and not take for granted what is offered to us as heirs of the King!
…as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
God offers forgiveness. Are you in a posture to receive it? Often times though we are forgiven, the harder thing is forgiving ourselves. If you’re holding a grudge against yourself, or letting guilt hang over you, let it go. If God can forgive you, surely you can forgive you.
And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. And when the dissension became violent, the tribune, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him away from among them by force and bring him into the barracks.
Differences divide us. Love unites us. Focus on love, not on what you and those around you disagree on. Let God sort out the differences in His own way and time while you spend your energy loving others as He has loved you.
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
God’s Word is truth. In order to be set apart, made holy and fully participate in freedom, we must bathe ourselves in truth and let it permeate our every thought and action. Soak it in.
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
You are never alone. You are safe. Lean into that freedom and assurance today.
