So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

God’s Word does not come back void. It may not come to full fruition in the timing that you expect it, but rest assured that it will accomplish the very purpose for which it was sent.
I had said in my alarm, “I am cut off from your sight.” But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy when I cried to you for help.
Psalm 31:22
You are never cut off from God’s sight. God is there, listening to your pleas. Trust that the Lord will answer you and deliver you at the perfect time, with your best interest in mind.
…so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.
Psalm 78;7
When going through times of sparse hope, be deliberate about reflecting on the works of God in your life. Hope, salvation, healing and love are peppered all over our lives; reflecting on those times will cause hope to rise in the valleys of suffering.
Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
Psalm 27:14
It has been said that the LORD is never early, never late but always on time. If the LORD’s timing isn’t lining up with yours, take courage and be strong in the waiting. He is faithful!
For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 100:5
If you happen to feel left out in the cold, be reminded that the Lord’s kindness, steadfast love and faithfulness do not run out. Expect the Lord to be true to His promises, and wait expectantly.
…with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:2,3
Gentleness, patience and bearing with one another in love and and eagerness to maintain unity. Does this describe your approach with the people around you? even those you don’t particularly enjoy? If not, put this into practice today and watch God at work.
Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
Psalm 27:14
As this passage says, take courage and be strong in your times of waiting. God’s answers are well worth the endurance!
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
Proverbs 21:5
Be careful to not react in haste. Slow and steady is the way go to.
And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.
Matthew 13:58
Who wants to be where they’re not welcome, believed in or trusted? Perhaps Jesus felt the same way when visiting his hometown. Don’t take for granted Jesus in your midst; appreciate what God wants to do in your circumstance; believe that He is faithful and will answer your prayers, even if His timing and yours aren’t the same.
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:13
Let us be reminded to set our hope in Jesus, and allow that perspective to prepare our minds for the mission at hand.
