And there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small of stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way.
Luke 19:2-4 (ESV)

Let us be bold, willing to tackle our shortcomings at all costs in order to see Jesus!

Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”
Luke 15:1,2 (ESV)

If we truly want to be good stewards of representing the body of Christ, let us not be grumbling, judgmental Pharisees.

And the twelve were with him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.
Luke 8:1b-3 (ESV)

Imagine this gaggle of diversity. A doctor, a tax collector, fishermen, a woman of political influence and another from whom evil spirits were recently expelled. If you ever feel like you don’t quite fit in, rest assured, you’re in good company.

But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
1 Corinthians 12:24b,25,26 (ESV)

No matter which part of the body of Christ we are, we are no lesser or no greater than the others. Treat yourself and others as understanding this.

‘Take what is yours and go, but I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’
Matthew 20:14,15 (NAS)

Don’t be envious. You have no idea what the bigger picture is.
