But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (ESV)

Instead of being hard on yourself regarding your weaknesses, look at them from this perspective.

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”
Isaiah 1:17 (ESV)

Consider allowing only the above to be the burdens you carry.

“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked.
Mark 8:5 (NIV)

Notice that Jesus asked His disciples what they had. He didn’t ask them to perform a miracle or feed the people, He just asked them to give what they had to work with. Offer up what you have and let Jesus do what only He can.

Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.
John 9:16 (ESV)

Too often division causes us to miss the beauty of miracles taking place. Make every effort to focus on God and what He is doing and not our differences of opinion.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)

Take this passage at face value. You don’t have to be anxious, if you’ve made your requests known to God. God knows, and God will handle. Let it go.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22,23 (NIV)

If you’ve got the urge to practice something that is outlandish with no set laws to impose or restrain you, try these: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Go wild!

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:6-8 (ESV)

We’re each individually and uniquely made by the hand of our Awesome God. Be yourself. Do your thing, and celebrate those around you who do what you can’t.

You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.
Mark 7:8 (NIV)

Don’t let traditions get in the way of following God’s commandments.

But now more than ever the word about Jesus spread abroad; many crowds would gather to hear him and to be cured of their diseases. But he would withdraw to deserted places and pray.
Luke 5:15,16 (NRS)

Often times we spend way to much time doing and not nearly enough time being. Jesus balanced doing the work of God with being with God. Be deliberate to maintain that balance.

After that, he taught daily in the Temple, but the leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the other leaders of the people began planning how to kill him. But they could think of nothing, because all the people hung on every word he said.
Luke 19:47,48 (NLT)

We hear messages from all different directions; let us remember to hang onto the words that Jesus said.
