But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
John 14:26
Thank you, Holy Spirit, for bringing all that Jesus has taught us to remembrance at the prefect time that our heart needs to hear Your living Word of wisdom, mercy, kindness, reassurance and truth.
That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.
John 21:7
Let us respond to Christ like Simon Peter did here, with absolute abandon and enthusiasm.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psalm 51:12
Jesus, please do this for us. Amen.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Whatever your present circumstance, be deliberate to give thanks. If what you’re going through isn’t easy and you find it hard to be thankful, spend time finding the pieces of blessing amidst your suffering and offer thanksgiving for those, as small as they may be. Allow thankfulness to offer perspective you may not otherwise be privy to.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4
Whether you interpret this as the Lord planting the desires of your heart, or satisfying them (or both), either way begins with a simple command to delight yourself in Him.
For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.
Matthew 13:16,17
Let us not take for granted each and every moment that we experience God today – in the glimmer of the sun on the water, or in the giggle of a baby or in the answer to a prayer – thank Him for giving us the grace to hear and see Him at work in and around us.
The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!
Psalm 50:23
Being thankful is important to God, so be generous with your posture of gratitude; it will honor God, first and foremost, but also the people along your path.
And all the people saw him walking and praising God, and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Acts 3:9,10
When we become aware of God moving in someone’s life – whether that be a miraculous healing, a divine revelation, or the recognition of God having answered prayer, take time to do as the onlookers did in this scene: look on with amazement and astonishment. Be intentional to appreciate every move that God makes in people’s lives and celebrate that with them. Be encouraged that He, too, is moving in your own life.
“Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children.”
Deuteronomy 4:9
Don’t let the memories of the work that God has done in and around you go unnoticed and unrecognized, or fall to the wayside in your memory. Celebrate, remember and share His kindness and deliverance with others.
