And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.
Philippians 1:9,10 (ESV)

We are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We who believe are carefully joined together, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.
Ephesians 2:20,21 (NLT)

You are an important part of God’s body, and God’s holy temple. Don’t let insecurity have any voice otherwise.

And the twelve were with him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.
Luke 8:1b-3 (ESV)

Imagine this gaggle of diversity. A doctor, a tax collector, fishermen, a woman of political influence and another from whom evil spirits were recently expelled. If you ever feel like you don’t quite fit in, rest assured, you’re in good company.

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
Psalm 149:4 (NKJV)

God takes pleasure in you. Let that pierce through your own self-doubt, shame and condemnation. If God can take pleasure in you, surely you can love yourself and allow others to love you, too.

I no longer call you servants, because a master doesn’t confide in his servants. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.
John 15:15 (NLT)

It’s one thing to be a servant; another to be a friend. Cherish that Jesus has shared the heart of the Father with you, as a friend, and pay that love, mercy and kindness forward.

However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.
John 6:37 (NLT)

You will never be rejected by Jesus. Don’t let your shame, condemnation, insecurities or any other doubts convince you otherwise.

“For I, the LORD, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them.”
Isaiah 61:8 (NLT)

As we enter into the celebration of Easter, let us be reminded of how Christ suffered for us, and through His sacrifice, God made a new, everlasting covenant with us.

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits. When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them.
Matthew 21:43,45

Let us be cautious that we don’t live like the chief priests and Pharisees about whom Jesus directed this parable. Rather, let us be a people producing fruits and tending to the harvest.
