All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)

Scripture is alive and beautiful. Make every attempt to immerse yourself in it. You will learn, be advised, corrected, trained and reminded of the eternal hope we have in our Savior.

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:17,18 (ESV)

Be encouraged in your faith by the truth in this passage.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Perseverance doesn’t come easy. Ask God for His presence and strength amidst the trials and testing of your faith.

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James 2:17 (NIV)

And when the soles of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off from flowing, and the waters coming down from above shall stand in one heap.
Joshua 3:13 (ESV)

If you read the story of Israel crossing the Jordan, you’ll see that Joshua, the priests and the people of Israel had to walk in obedience and step out on faith that God would do what He promised. Sometimes we have to take the first step, even dabbling our toes in the water, before we will see God’s provision. Step out today; He is always faithful!

When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took her as his wife, but had no marital relations with her until she had borne a son; and he named him Jesus.
Matthew 1:24,25 (NRSV)

Lord, give us Joseph-like faith and belief!

And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
Luke 1:38 (ESV)

We often struggle with knowing whether or not we’ve heard the voice of God. Imagine Mary’s courage, belief and bravery in saying ‘yes’ in this world-changing scene. Let us be as willing as she!

But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Matthew 8:8 (ESV)

Blessed are those who believe without seeing.

“Even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed,” the Lord answered, “you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May God uproot you and throw you into the sea,’ and it would obey you!”
Luke 17:6 (NLT)

Adult-sized mulberry trees are not small! However, a mustard seed is extremely small. With even that tiny bit of faith, we can rest assured that the God we serve is faithful!
